COMPOST

I need to find a fairly local compost place :) I am going to start trying to make some but that will take a while. And, I know that I need some now, as our soil is mostly clay and none of my veggy plants like that, except for all of these dang wild strawberries. But, strawberries are not veggies are they.

My strawberries are throwing runners like crazy. At first I was snipping them off so that the mother plant could use the energy to get bigger and stronger but then there were some many more I decided to just let them grow. When they get big enough I will move them to their own spot.

I also need some straw. I have asked at work to no avail. I used to see signs for free straw everyday in town and now I never see any. :(

Rock dust is on my shopping list and I will probably end up buying a 50 pound bag of it :) I'm every excited about rock dust.

Something, probably a bird, has covered both my front and back lawn in frelling Morning Glorys!!! I hate Morning Glorys and they are taking over, now I will have to work double hard on aphids.
We also have 4 other types of vineing ivy like plants on our fences and trying to take over our house, this is an endless battle when trying to do it without chemicals.

I planted some Nasturtiums and some Sweet Peas, so I hope it rains soon :D

AZ seems like a horrible place to live

There are a bunch of reasons why Arozona is a horrible place to live and here are just a few. Here's my husband ranting :)

Anna's Esscentials Soap

I picked up this awesome soap at a local farmers market. It's call
Anna's Esscentals "Bluegrass Spice of Life" Handcrafted Herbal Olive Oil Soap.

It smells wonderfully spicy and the fragrance makes your bathroom and skin smell like gingersnaps or pumpkin pie. Its smells delicious. It cleans very well and leaves the skin feeling moisturized and cleansed. It also works great as a gentle scalp shampoo.

My husband was a little sensitive to the cinnamon in it, but only when he got it in places that he shouldn't have :(

So, I give this soap a 9.5 out of 10. You guys should try it out. She has a website and she was very knowledgeable and welcoming when I spoke to her at the market.
